Book lover’s needs to leave their books back home when traveling. Interesting reading materials are available everywhere. One can even carry electronics, a single device that can hold an entire library.
2. Too Many Shoes
Wear a pair, pack a pair. Wear the heaviest ones on the plane. Now day’s slippers are available in all the hotels. One can use that.
3. Hair Dryer
Even the cheapest budget motels have dryers in their bathrooms and if you're staying with family, one person must be carrying. You really need not carry one along.
4. A Maybe Outfit
This is a luxury only the darn-the-cost traveler can afford, or someone traveling by car. Look at your clothes carefully before packing: then, separate items you know are comfortable and you will wear from those you think you might like to wear. Then, ditch all the 'maybes'.
5. Things You Can Buy There
Yes, things you can buy at home are often more expensive overseas. But think of the luggage weight fees. Simple items that you may need but can probably live without, like aspirin, nail polish remover, extra razors or candies, can usually be purchased at drug and convenience stores in many destinations.
6. Guidebook
Don’t pick more than one guide book while smart phones and tablets seem to have all the information available. Few people are still addicted to little gems of information. For them one good, comprehensive guidebook should do the trick.
7. Beauty Routine
basic materials like lotion, soap, shampoo, conditioner, comb etc are available in all the hotels. You can leave all of it back home. You can carry only very specific products which u think is very important and you cannot do without it.
8. Fussy Attitude and Ego
If you're adventurous enough to leave home and explore an exotic destination, it’s important to leave back your fussy attitude and ego back home as well. You will enjoy the trip more and surely explore more things which were not in your trip plan even.
