Nepal Tourism Board along with Nepal Airlines Corporation organized a high-profile roadshow in Mumbai for tour operators and travel agents. Total eight numbers of travel agents from Nepal participated in the roadshow with an aim to interact with their Indian counterparts. Ranu Shah - Sr. Officer, Tourism Product & Resource Development, Nepal Tourism Board stated “The primary motive of this roadshow in India is to promote Nepal’s tour and travel destinations. As India is our biggest source of market, we definitely want to share our culture with each other. We have remained great allies for so many years and would definitely like to continue it for upcoming many, many years.”
The devastated earthquake in 2015 affected much of the tourist arrivals to Nepal. There was a drastic drop drown in tourist arrivals last year to Nepal from around the world. Every week, Nepal Airlines operate 11 flights from New Delhi to Kathmandu and 3 flights from Mumbai and Bengaluru to Kathmandu. Hope this welcoming step will attract more numbers of travelers to Nepal in near future.
