1. A hiking trail from Fira to Oia
Fira, and Oia are the two main towns of Santorini and they are very well connected for taking a hiking trail. Depending on the speed and stops that a hiker takes on the way for clicking pictures, the trail can take anywhere between two to five hours but the view along the way can be absolutely heart-stopping.
Starting from Fira, the route may not be completely marked but it can be fairly easy to find out the directions. While finishing the trail into Oia, there will be a sharp descent from the hills and that part of the trail can be simply awesome for any hiker. It is always recommendable to start the hike early in the morning so that the best views can be expected at the time.
2. A tour to the Santorini winery
A visit to the Santorini wineries is more about knowing the place and its deep-rooted traditions that go into winemaking. Most wineries here are beautiful and ravishing and the wines can be as luxurious as one can imagine. A visitor will also find out that the people are delightfully friendly here so that many things can be known here related to the place and its history. It can be one of the best ways to discover the island away from its Caldera. Well, we guess this is one of the things to do in Santorini.
3. Take a peek at the volcano
The active volcano of the island is located in Nea Kameni and it is one of the best places of tourist interest on the island. One can reach the crater by taking a 20-minute walk up on the 130 meters pathway. While walking, people can see the sulfur vents that completely dot the island. Visitors can reach the place by hiring a boat ride or by taking a Volcano Boat Tour.
4. Enjoy an open air-cinema in Kamari
It can be one of the best ways to enjoy for a family. Movies are shown here from 9:30 PM and spectators can have a feisty time by ensuring that there are ample supplies of Greek snacks, wine or beer to keep company and immerse in the fun. Buses ply here that ferry passengers back to Fira and those can be expected from a bus stop that is situated just outside the cinema across the street. Sundays can be busy and it can always be safe to reach the destination by 8.30 to get a ticket and be on the safer side!
5. An enticing view while having dinner
There are many restaurants in Santorini that offer spectacular views of the island while enjoying a cool dinner. The caldera at night can be simply tempting for any nature lover so that such an outing can stay with a person for a long time. Visiting a restaurant like Mezzo can be a satisfying dining experience with all the gastronomic delights and the charming scenes that it offers.

The cliffs of Oia are highly frequented by people who want to watch the picturesque sunset of Santorini. Mostly visitors frequent here with a bottle of wine and laze around the place to get a stunning view of the sunset. It is situated on the southern tip of the island and the view from the Lighthouse is very different from what can be enjoyed in Fira or Oia. Looking north towards the caldera, the arc formation of the island can be seen from here pretty well and it makes for an outstanding sight.
These are some of the must do things in Santorini apart from the fact that a visit to the Red Beach, Prehistoric Thera Museum and Art Space Winery can also be undertaken for a breathtaking experience.
