For increasing, the number of tourism in Maharashtra, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) has decided to showcase the natural beauty of Dapoli Taluka town’s beauty that will be the centre of attraction for visitors who are fond of exploring natural beauty. For this MTDC has organized Anjarle Turtle Festival for the first time. This festival comprise of various adventurous activities like Boating, Bullock Safari, Back Water Tour, and watching the emotional struggle of baby turtle who struggles to come out of nest and make its way to water. The main intension of this festival was to attract visitors towards the rare species and spread awareness program to safeguard them.  

Along with the natural beauty of this place, visitors are look to visit Suvarnadurg Fort. This fort is located in Arabian Sea on a small island. Thus, the main intention of organizing this festival was to encourage people to preserve the rare species and contribute in natures development.
