in this time of tactic schedules, a highly formated life and cities blanketed by pollution one tend to run away from all this at least for some time the mind and heart start seeking it change from the deadlines, time zones, continuous commuting and you desperately start wishing to escape for someplace that offers solace and natural beauty. when I started thinking of giving myself a break and deciding about the destination Lansdowne was the first and the last name came to my mind. just imagining about the town which lies cradled between the Himalayan range on the banks of the falls filled me with great thrill. Lansdowne was established as a major summer visit site in the 21st century. while searching about it I ha da definite feeling as if the city which is a gateway many mountain rain expeditions is welcoming us. te overshadowing mountain ranges, the cultural history, the feeling of being apart of nature all feelings are there in the tourist's heart but the best thing is the competent naturalness without any artificiality which made us feel belonged the moment we started in a cab from Rishikesh,
firstly we moved to the cradle of nature at the Bhulla Lake in Lansdowne built by the Garhwal Rifles. An artificial lake, the reason for its creation was mainly to attract tourists to the city, which has worked in favor of the city. Peaceful and soothing, this is a perfect picnic spot in the midst of flawless beauty. One can go boating or sit by the side of the lake, enjoying the serene beauty of the place. Adding to the lake’s scenic beauty is a neatly tailored flower garden creating a riot of colors. There are swings and open spaces to relax and enjoy the view. The sparse crowd and the relaxing ambiance convince one to spend some time on the lakeside shades. There is a small handicraft showroom by the lake where one can get some of the finest silk and cotton items. The travelers can have a great adventure while performing games and sports like Burma bridges, flying foxes, and riding horses. after completing this place our group moved on to bhim pakoraBhim Pakora is a vibrant destination in Lansdowne and is famous because of two reasons- the amazing views of dense forests and snow-laden peaks it offers and for the way it looks. Picture this- two large rocks placed one above another in perfect balance. Miraculous, it seems! It is believed that these two rocks can be moved by a single finger, but they cannot be brought down even if they are pushed by both hands. Bhim Pakora is indeed a phenomenon, reason why scores of tourists throng this place to witness this one-of-a-kind miracle and also to get captivated by the sprawling beauty of nature. It falls in the geographical periphery of Lansdowne and can be reached after covering 2 km trek downhill on a rough path. beautiful day 1 finish and time to rest and at very next morning we decided to go through some more exciting places and one of them is Tiffin top. it is located just 1.5 km from main Lansdowne city center, Tiffin Point is the perfect spot to witness the exuberance of the majestic Shivalik Range. It is a rocky structure jutting out on which a viewing gallery has been made; it is a vantage point from where all the mountain ranges can be seen. Trek up to this blissful summit to capture the panoramic Garhwal Hills along with the commanding Himalayan range at the backdrop. If you enjoy easy walking trails, this is your go-to place. Feel the rush as you reach the summit, passing through breathtaking sights of dense forest and rugged terrains ending up at this viewpoint. At 1,700 meters, spectators only experience the pure, unmatched beauty of the dreamy town of Lansdowne. The place is thronged by numerous visitors who wish to. then after taking lunch to the roadside stalls we booked a cab for kaleshwar Mahadev temple. If you a die-hard Shiva devotee, then the Kaleshwar Mahadev Temple should be on your must-visit list. This temple is almost a century old and situated near the main Lansdowne city. The religious center has earned its name after the Sage Kalun, who used to perform meditation here. The place is not only religiously significant but also unfolds scenic view of Mother Nature. The holy spot is also famous for being the meditation place for sages from time immemorial. Many sages have been buried around the temple, and their samadhis can be seen to date. The temple consists of a Shiv-linga that according to local beliefs formed on its own.
