1. Kerala Tour Operators Form New Alliance to Boost State Tourism
To improve the number of visitors in Kerala, various tour operators have formed Association of Tourism Trade Organizations India to promote both foreign and domestic tourism in the state. It has opened ways for new destinations in the state where Kerala Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar launched first package. This new alliance of private and government will be a new way to promote tourism and contribute in the growth and progress of every society in the state. This consortium is expected to provide about 500 tour packages to visitors. The state already launched its Kerala Travel Mart that is an aid for improving tourism and this program will enhance it to large extent.
Kerala is known for providing the real beauty of village life, community interactions and promoting sustainable tourism practices to everyone who love to visit this state during their free time. This tourism association sees Kerala as the 99 unique experience states where every type of pleasure and experience will be provided to its visitors. As per Anil Kumar, government has also increased the tourism budget from Rs. 100 cr to Rs. 225 crore for the five year. The emphasis will be to frame new tour packages.
