It is amazing news for travelers who are frequent to Delhi and Nainital tour. For this, NHAI has cleared that Rampur- Rudrapur - Kathgodam section of NH-87 will be built on Hybrid Annuity mode in two separate packages. The NH-87 connects Uttarakhand to Uttar Pradesh and for developing it, a package of Rs. 1336 crore has been cleared in favor of Sadbhav Infrastructure Project Limited. After the completion of this project, the time between Delhi and Nainital will be reduced that will provide less costly journey due to the low maintenance, wear and tear cost of vehicles. Traffic between these two major cities will be eliminated.
The length of the proposed project is 93 km that will have three bypasses at cities like Rampur, Bilaspur and Haldwani. The project is expected to be completed in about two and half years. This project will start from Rampur and will end at Karnaprayag, which will easily connect various districts such as Rampur, Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital. Along with it, the major towns that will be connected to Delhi are Rampur, Bhotbazar, Bilaspur, Rudrapur, Pantnagar, Lalkuan, Haldwani and Kathgodam. This project will be highly beneficial for industrial developments in these cities.
