1. Ecotourism in Devkund
Recently, Rajesh Pravakar Patil, District Collector, Mayurbhanj inaugurated an eco friendly tourism complex in Devkund to promote tourism. Devkund is a tourism destination that is located in green cover of Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. This project cost INR 30 lakh
Devkund is located on the foothill of the Similipal Sanctuary that is the greatest attraction for large number of tourism from entire world. Tourists visit it to experience the pristine beauty of the forest that is located about 60 kilometers away from Baripada. Further, its 60 m high water fall further attracts tourism from various parts of India.
With this project, construction of two permanent eateries, sale of local handicrafts along with four green toilet with best water supply that is directly connected from waterfall. Further, to enhance the beauty of this place, a beautiful statue of stone is also installed and local residents are trained to manage all such activities in that are related to forest departments.
