The world’s longest sea bridge known as Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge connecting Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China city Zhuhai is finally open, the 34 miles long bridge took 9 years to complete, spans over the waters of the Pearl River Estuary, this bridge will reduce the travel time between Hong Kong and Zhuhai from three hours to 30 minutes.    The massive structure is the first major combined bridge and tunnel sea-crossing project in China, which is comprised of three cable-stayed bridges with spans, ranging from 280 meters to 460 meters, two artificial islands, and a nearly 4-mile long tunnel.   Tolls to cross the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge will be around 60 Yuan to 300 Yuan.   The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge is a joint project between Hong Kong and China’s Guangdong province. According to the reports it is expected that the bridge will serve as a way to integrate the two special administrative regions into China and form a technology hub.   The bridge lies in the region known as China's Greater Bay Area, which is the most densely urbanised region with a population of about 67 million, making it the richest region of China.    That doesn't mean all of us will be allowed to commute through our own vehicles on the bridge. As stated by the officials, the private vehicles won’t be allowed on the bridge, without special permission.    So it's suggested to park your vehicles and switch to private coaches and buses to cross the bridge for the commuters to both the side. Therefore, users of this bridge would be primarily limited to goods vehicles and cross-border shuttle buses as of now.   The Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge has been a lot into a criticism due to not opening for all by the Hong Kong taxpayers.
