1. India and New Zealand Signed a Revised Air Service Agreement
Promoting tourism in India and making an easy access to Indian travelers abroad is the emphasis of Indian tourism department. Further, for promoting better accessibility and air service between India and New Zealand, an agreement is signed by President Pranab Mukherjee and New Zealand to strengthen the air service. President Pranab Mukherjee was on the visit to Papua New Guinea and New Zealand where he signed this agreement.
As per experts this agreement is a great step towards promoting better relations between two countries and helps in moving ahead to promoting tourism, health sector, agriculture and setting up new center for excellence in IT. The agreement will resolve the connectivity issue between the counties and will enhance mobility within the countries. Further, an important MoU on an ICCR Chair of Indian Studies in the University of Victoria was also signed that will promote students of India to plan for a better education in New Zealand. In this regard, Zealand Government announced a new scholarship scheme to attract Indian students for higher education. Thus, overall this agreement will be beneficial in various sectors in both the countries.
