History of FIFA Football World Cup

The FIFA World Cup was started on 13 July 1930 and ended on 30 July 1930. Uruguay and Argentina played the final match in which Uruguay took the title. Guillermo Stabile who was the Argentina player was the top scorer of the whole series and was appreciated for the same.

In the year 1934 second FIFA World Cup was played. It was played in Italy from 27 May to 10 June 1934. The winner of this series was Italy National Football Team who defeated Czechoslovakia in the finals. Oldřich Nejedlý was a Czech footballer who was the top scorer during this series.

The Third FIFA World Cup was held in France from 4 June to 19 June 1938. The championship in this year was again won by Italy who defeated Hungary by 4-2 in the final. Leônidas was the top scorer of this match and was appreciated for the same.

In the year 1942, all preparations were made and Germany was the one who was asked to host the series but due to Second World War the FIFA was not conducted and cancellation for the same was done.

The Second World War was over in 1945 but it was very difficult to make preparations for 1946 as in a year things could not be done. No country stood up to take the charge so series was not played in this year as well.

In 1950 the FIFA World Cup resumed again. It was held in Brazil from 24 June to 16 July. Uruguay national football team won the championship this year by beating Brazil by 2-1. This series was loved by people as it was played after a break.

The FIFA World Cup in this year was played in Switzerland from 16 June to 4 July and the trophy was taken home by Germany International Football Team. Hungary was the first runners-up during this series and Sándor Kocsis was the favorite player.

This year FIFA World Cup was held in Sweden from 8 to 29 June. The series was won by Brazil by beating Sweden with 5-2 in the finals.

The 1962 FIFA World Cup was the 7th FIFA World Cup in the history. It was held from 30 May to 17 June 1962 in Chile. Brazil took the cup this year too by beating Czechoslovakia. Ziti and Vasa were the main players of the match.

During this year FIFA was held in England from 11- 30 July in which England National Football Team Won. Eusébio was the top scorer during this match.

The FIFA World Cup in this year was held in Mexico from 31 May to 21 June. This championship was won by Brazil national football team. The top scorer of this match was Gerd Müller.

The 1974 FIFA World Cup was held in West Germany from 13 June to 7 July. The trophy was taken back home by Germany National Football Team. The top scorer was Grzegorz Lato.

The 1978 FIFA World Cup was the 11th staging of the series which was held in Argentina from 1-25 June. The Argentina National Football Team won the series. Mario Kempes was the top scorer during the series.

This was the 13th stage FIFA World Cup which was held in Spain from 13 June to 11 July. The tournament was won by Italy by beating West Germany. The top scorer was Paolo Rossi.

This year FIFA World Cup was held in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June. The trophy was won by Argentina National Football Team. Gary Lineker was the top scorer.

The 1990 FIFA World Cup was played from 8 June to 8 July 1990 in Italy. The trophy was won by Germany National Football team and the best player was Robert Prosinečki.

The 1994 FIFA World Cup was the 15th tournament played in different cities of United States from 17 June to 17 July 1994. The trophy was won by Brazil National Football Team. Marc Overmars was the best player.

The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup which was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The trophy was won by France, the host country. Davor Sueker was the main player at that time.

This year football series of FIFA was organized in Japan and South Korea. The top scorer at this time was Ronaldo and it was held from 31 May to 30 June, 2002. Brazil won the title of the best team in this year.
