Tourism ministry of Goa has come up with a plan to eradicate all the problems that travelers face while board or arriving from domestic and international airports. In this regard, ministry is thoughtful to improve immigration services at Goa Airport by providing e-travel visas (eTVs) to foreign visitors at the airport. The emphasis is also on removing any problem at the airport before the start of vacations in the country and help tourists to plan leaves in Goa. The meeting was co-chaired by Parulekar and Nilesh Cabral, Chairman, Goa Tourism Development Corporation along with Traffic Police, Goa Police, officials of Airport Authority of India, Bureau of Immigration and other concerned authorities.
In the meeting, the airport authorities and bureau of immigration were asked to resolve any of the issue at airport quickly. Further, newly appointed Airport Director BCH Negi was well informed about the problems and the importance of issuing eTVs at the airport. The emphasis was made to improve the signage and counters. Representative of Travel and Tourism Association of Goa (TTAG) requested new director to take action against trolley pullers who harass the visitors and against those who dirty the premises.
