According to a senior official of Goa Tourism Department, a study will be conducted on the shack capacity of its beaches before this year’s tourist season. Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority GCZMA will be dealing with this with the Goa Tourism Department. The total length of Goa’s coastline is 105 Kms and it has several shacks as well as structures that serves food, liquors etc to the tourists. He further stated that beachwise study will be conducted and the shacks will be allotted for a period of 3 years to the unemployed youth of the state.
