Forests: The Only Lifeline For Humanity

The Sunderbans in India is the largest living mangrove forest in the world. The name Sunderban is from the Sundari trees that grow in these forests. The Sunderbans is said to be the only mangrove forests in the world where man and animal live with utter sanctity. Well by animal we mean the Royal Bengal tigers. Sunderbans are the only mangrove forests in the world where one can find tigers to be ardent swimmers. A perfect destination for those who want some peace from that hustling-bustling city life.

The jungle of the Ice lord is the Dong Phayayen - Khao Yai forest complex which is located in a rugged mountainous terrain. This is said to be the home to 800 species of fauna and 112 species of mammals, and is seen as a vital lifeline in saving some of the most endangered species blossoming here.

The Platano forest is situated in Rio Platano of the Caribbean coastline in the Honduras in North America. This tropical rainforest encompasses a wide range of flora and fauna. Apart from it, Platano forest houses 2000 indigenous tribes and culture who till date follow their traditional ways of living in the forest areas. This forest was acclaimed as a world heritage site and biosphere reserve in the year 1980. This forest is said to be one of the most visited tourist destination.

The Amazon forest otherwise known as the Amazonia is said to be the lungs of the world. The Amazon rainforest spreads across nine nations Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guyana. The Amazon is a symbol of half of the planet's rainforest and comprises an avid resource of plant and animal species indigenous to the Amazon rainforest of the world.

The arena of the Black forest in Germany is said to be one of the best places one can go on to explore some of the serene natural beauty. The Black Forest region is perched in the wooded mountain range of Baden Wurttemberg in Germany. The Black forest is on the borders of France and Switzerland. The highest peak in the Black forest is the Feldberg with an approximate height of 1,493 metres. Therefore, if we really want life to thrive in this planet then the only solution to it is we need to save our forests.
