The Mall is the main shopping center in Matheran. There is array of shops that sell Matheran's leather and cane articles, straw hats and also sweets.

Since, vehicles are not allowed inside the town, Matheran offers a clean and pollution-free environment. The only way to commute here is either by foot or riding a pony.
