1. Arunachal Pradesh Tourism gets Joint Task Force
Latest report of "The Hindu" states that Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Mr. N. Chandrababu Naidu, made an announcement that a joint task force will be formed which will comprise of Union Ministry of Tourism and Culture officials along with
AP Government officials to boost tourism as well as development of the infrastructure of this sector of state.
He further added that the task force will be responsible for reviewing the progress of this project at every 3 months interval. He also requested for the support of "center" for tourism promotion in a bigger way in the state.
As per Mr. Naidu there is huge potential in the tourism sector of this state but still same is not developed as per potential. The state government is giving huge priority to this sector and in coming time it will generate huge job opportunities. Union government was urged for the promotion of Kuchipudi dance and take step towards building of auditorium in Kuchipudi.
Mr. Naidu is looking forward for academic classes which to be scheduled for next academic year in Indian Culinary Institute which is coming up in Titupati. Union Minister for Culture and Tourism in Delhi, Mahesh Sharma, agreed to this proposal of Mr. Naidu and declared that National School of Drama, sub center will come up at Rajahmundry. Mr. Sharma also suggested for cruise tourism introduction as the state has excellent coast line. CM also asked for INR 154 crore reimbursements for development of infrastructure.
