1. Andhra Pradesh Govt. Announced Development of Godavari Islands
Andhra Pradesh government announced the development of Godavari islands under its tourism development project in the state. As per Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, the state governments will emphasis on developing all the islands across Godavari to promote tourism in the state and provide best locations for visitors. The development will be undertaken under the project Akhanda Godavari project. The announcement of this project took place during the five-day Konaseema Festival at Muramalla in Polavaram Mandal district. He also added that the islands posses various natural resources and will definitely prove to be the best spots to attract tourist from India and foreign countries.
For this, every concerned department has to make dedicated projects to turn this idea into action. Along with it, night safaris and eco tourism will also be the area of concern and efforts will be made to introduce in the tourism of this area. He added that festive season would be the best time when tourism in the city will be high and will gain attention of large number of visitors to these newly developed tourist spots in the state. Boats, food courts and various cultural programs will be introduced to attract more visitors.
