1. Andhra Pradesh Tourism Industry will be Invested with Rs. 20,000 Cr.
Tourism industry always requires attention from state government to flourish and become the suitable place for visitors. With this perspective, Andhra Pradesh has also decided to invest Rs. 20,000 crore in the tourism sector to develop the less popular tourist spots and work towards creating the six tourist hubs in the state. The tourism department has targeted Visakhapatnam, Srisailam, Rajahmundry-Konaseema-Kakinada, Vijayawada-Amaravati, Tirupati and Ananthapuramu-Puttaparthi to be developed by the end of the year 2029. Neerabh Kumar Prasad, Andhra Pradesh Principal Secretary Tourism & Culture said that this huge investment in tourism sector will be very fruitful and will develop these places as the preferred tourist destinations in state.
He also added that an amount of Rs. 12,000 crore has already been initiated which will further provide base infrastructure for the tourism development. As per Y S Chowdary Union Minister of State for Science and Technology & Earth Sciences, this investment will up bring the tourism in the state at its international standards and will be the greatest source of income for boosting the economy of the state. He also added that tourism department would also concentrate on developing Buddhist Circuit in the state to attract both domestic and international tourists.
