1. Andhra Pradesh to Tap Its Potential Tourist Spots
Andhra Pradesh has huge tourism opportunity and the increased incoming tourist traffic in the state reflects the same. With the positive inflow of tourism, state government has decided to promote Amaravati tourist spot all across the globe. For this, 12-day Krishna Pushkarams event would be organized from August 12, 2016 where activities like cultural programmes, tourism promotion events, laser shows and food festival will be performed to gain attention of travel lovers from India and abroad. As per the senior officials of the concerned departments, this event will be centre of attraction for visitors where they will enjoy the real beauty of culture, tradition, religion and tourism of the state.
Along with Pushkarams, Andhra Pradesh tourism department is also emphasizing on promoting other tourist spots of the state. For this, four new projects are to be introduced in the Amaravati region under Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spirituality Augmentation Drive. For contributing to the tourism development in the state, central government has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 40 crore that will be utilized for developing Amaravati heritage project, development of Sri Amaralingeswra Swami temple, lighting of the 125-foot-tall Buddha statue and river front development project.
