About Dinxperlo
Dinxperlo is a metropolis and previous municipality within the eastern Netherlands, situated without delay at the border with Germany. Since 1 January 2005, Dinxperlo has been part of the municipality of Aalten. The name of the village probably is derived from dingspel and bathroom. A popular explanation is that in the Middle Ages there has been a courtroom within the woods right here. Dinxperlo used to have a coat of palms depicting Lady Justice. One of the town's principal attractions is the Netherlands' smallest church, every other one is a border museum. One avenue in Dinxperlo, Heelweg, is in part German.
The street itself lies inside the Netherlands, but one aspect of the housing zone is in Germany. The houses there belong to the small metropolis of Suderwick, which might be translated as "southern location". Also, Dinxperlo homes a shared Dutch-German police station. Besides Dutch and German, at each sides of the border a not unusual dialect is spoken, which is a selection of Low Saxon.
