About STHLM BIKE

Scandinavians love their bikes whether for the daily commute or a leisurely trip and this event is the latter. STHLM Bike is not a race for honour and medals, but is all about enjoying the ride itself. Fifty kilometres might sound like a lot, but when it’s done at a pleasant pace through ever-changing surroundings in and around the Swedish capital, those kilometres fly by. Participants start pedalling at 7 am from Norrbro near the Royal Palace and follow a car-free route through a combination of cityscapes and landscapes.

 

Green areas like Djurgården and Hagaparken are included in the ride, that also takes its saddled sightseers across bridges to islands like Kungsholmen, Södermalm and the picturesque Gamla Stan. The route will include two energy and water stops as well as toilets and healthcare for both humans and bikes. And it all ends where it started back near the Royal Palace for a well-deserved lunch at Strömgatan. So bring your own bike along or rent one at the event, and you’ll be in for a wheel-y good day in Stockholm.
