About Sounds From The Desert Music Show
Sounds From The Desert is a musical show organised on April 26, at August Kranti Marg, Asian Games Village Complex, Gautam Nagar, Delhi, NCR 110049, India. A Curated Musical presentation of 90 mins, with an intermission of 10 minutes. The display is the experience of a life-time because it takes you on a journey across the sands of Rajasthan with traditional, little seen devices playing folks songs, all rendered via 18 high-quality musicians led by way of multi-instrumentalist and vocalist par excellence, Kutle Khan.
Backing him are musicians from legendary families which includes the Nathulal Solanki’s from Pushkar on Nagaras, Darre Khan of Jaisalmer at the Khamaycha sporting forward the legacy of the inventor of the tool, his father, Padmashri Sakar Khan. Other musicians on gadgets like the Khartal, Morchang, Bhapang, Alogoza, Dholak and Sindhi Saarangi hail from Bikaner, Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Jaipur. The conventional folk dance- the Ghoomar is presented by means of the famous Sapera own family ladies. This show is curated & directed by Atul Churamani of Turnkey Music & the well-known Paddy Fields Festival.
