About Montana Expo Park
The Montana Expo Park some time ago known as the Montana State Fairgrounds is a carnival situated in the city of Great Falls, Montana, in the United States. The 133-section of land 54 ha grounds contain 35 structures, a pony dashing track, grandstands, and the Four Seasons Arena—multi-reason games and display arena. The site is the host of the Montana State Fair and also agrarian shows, rodeos, ball competitions, and funfairs. The six unique structures of the carnival were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
The unique carnival were planned by Gordon G. Cottier and George M. Shanley. The first structures, built in the Art Deco style, were the Atrium, Family Living Center, Fine Arts Building, Livestock Pavilion now known as the Heritage Building, Mercantile Building, and Trades and Industries Building. Shanley planned the primary working to be raised, the Livestock Pavilion, and it was developed in 1919. Most of the structures, notwithstanding, were worked somewhere in the range of 1928 and 1938.
Many of the structures finished somewhere in the range of 1934 and 1938 were paid for by awards from the Public Works Administration. In 1939, the Montana State Fair, which had beforehand been held in Helena, for all time moved to Great Falls.
