The Kaiser Permanente Thrive Half Marathon and 5K profiting Make-A-Wish San Diego urges the network to Thrive. You can do this together by remaining dynamic, eating healthy, living great and giving back. Its an open door for San Diegans to get fit, have a fabulous time, and in the meantime encourage an astounding neighborhood philanthropy. This is the ideal San Diego fall Half Marathon, fun 5k, and Kids Mile something for all ages.
The race starts, as said above, at the new Kaiser Permanente Medical Center on Ruffin Road, close to the crossing point with Balboa Road. From that point, the course travels south along Ruffin to Murphy Canyon Road, where you'll start a stretch that will take you south around Qualcomm Stadium, the previous home of baseball's San Diego Padres and today the home of San Diego State's Aztecs football group.
The greatest slopes of the race happen simply past the second mile marker, a declining stretch along Murphy Canyon Road. When you make the pivot the southern end of the stadium, the course is generally level and quick from that point the distance in to the end goal, along for the most part long straightaway stretches, particularly in the race's second half.
