About Just For Laughs
Only for Laughs is a satire celebration held every July in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Established in 1983, it is the biggest global comic drama celebration on the planet. Only for Laughs was established in 1983 by Gilbert Rozon as a two-day French dialect occasion. In 1985, Andy Nulman joined the celebration's staff and presented English dialect occasions also; under Nulman's stewardship, the celebration expanded to an entire month, with French-talking entertainers amid the main half, and English speakers in the second half. Worldwide and non-verbal acts gymnastic performers, mimes, and so forth are scattered all through the program.
In 1999, Nulman left the celebrations full-time utilize; in any case, he coordinated its real Gala Shows at the Saint-Denis Theater each July and stayed on the top managerial staff of the celebration's parent organization. Following a 11-year nonappearance, Nulman came back to Just for Laughs in July 2010 as leader of Festivals and Television. Every day, entertainers, "New Vaudevillians" and different acts both vocal and visual perform all through the city, especially in the "Latin Quarter"— a region known for its theaters, bistros and boutique shopping. In the nighttime, the clubs and live setting auditoriums offer extraordinary projects supporting the entertainers.
