Geneva Summit For Human Rights And Democracy
About Geneva Summit For Human Rights And Democracy
On the heels of the United Nations Human Rights Council’s principal annual session, the Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy assembles each year masses of brave dissidents and human rights victims, activists, diplomats, newshounds and pupil leaders to shine a highlight on urgent human rights conditions that require worldwide attention. The Geneva Summit is sponsored by a coalition of 25 human rights NGOs from around the world.
This annual convention builds on the achievement and momentum of the preceding gatherings, that have been broadly acclaimed within the worldwide human rights network. Human rights heroes, activists and former political prisoners from China, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Pakistan, Russia, Venezuela and different nations testify about their personal struggles for human rights, democracy and freedom, and be part of hands to plot action techniques. The Geneva Summit has been featured in media around the world, along with CNN, Agence France Presse, AP, The Australian, the Wall Street Journal, Spanish news organisation EFE, Radio Free Europe and ANSA.
