About Festa Maggiore of Terlizzi
Terlizzi's Festa Major - this year August 4, - is praised out of appreciation for the Black Madonna of Sovereto, a Byzantine symbol from the East or painted on the spot, found around the year one thousand of every a karst collapse the Sovero woods, in Terlizzi area of Bari. The symbol of the Madonna appears through the lanes of Terlizzi on the "triumphal chariot", the marvelous 22-meter high vehicle driven by the power of 60 men and guided by four helmsmen who oversee, with their developments, to drive the wagon.
