Copenhagen’s Oktoberfest
About Copenhagen’s Oktoberfest
Most are familiar with the ultimate beer parties of Bavaria in Southern Germany but you won’t miss out if you can’t make it to the Oktoberfest capital of Munich. Copenhagen Oktoberfest has been reproducing the true Bavarian spirit since 2009, and marks its 10th anniversary this year. For two weekends in September, the beer will flow in steady streams in a huge tent at Femøren, near the beach of Amager Strand, just a short metro ride from central Copenhagen.
The festivities inside the tent will tempt you with a combination of 1-litre beer jugs, sing-along-music, traditional food and Bavarian clothing. So strap on your lederhosen you can even rent them for the night in the on-site shop. The party tent is free to enter, but a range of packages can be booked if you want to secure yourself a seat including food and drinks. Copenhagen Oktoberfest is the largest of its kind in Denmark and will surely be a night to remember.
