About Arena di Verona Opera Festival

 

This year the Opera Festival at the Arena di Verona, happens from June 21 to September 7, , changing the Roman amphitheater, similar to each late spring, in the biggest outdoors musical show theater on the planet around 10,000 seats. The works booked for are: La Traviata, Aida, Il Trovatore, Carmen, Tosca. Carmen is a work by Georges Bizet. La Traviata, Aida and Il Trovatore by Giuseppe Verdi . Tosca by Giacomo Puccini.

 

Some extraordinary nights are planned:

- 16 July- Roberto Bolle and Friends

- 4 August- Arena Anniversary Night, Placido Domingo 50

- 11 August- Carmina Burana

 

The Opera Festival of the Arena di Verona was possible on 10 August 1913, with the main execution of the Aida by the Veronese tenor Giovanni Zenatello and the showy director Ottone Rovato to honor the centennial of the introduction of Giuseppe Verdi.
