About 13th Abu Dhabi Dragon Boat Opening Festival
Organised in partnership with Siren Events, UAE Dragon Boat and UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation, the Dragon Boat Festival is an annual fixture hosted every October at Shangri-La Hotel and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi to include its Asian roots even as developing unforgettable moments for the residents and the visitors of the Capital. The Qaryat Al Beri complex welcomes teams of 20 paddlers to energy their boats in unison at the biggest dragon boat festival in the place.The event will provide spectators coronary heart-pounding action on the beachfront as competitors race the dragon boats parallel to the shore.
In addition to the spirited opposition along the 1km stretch of the personal seashore, spectators can also experience cultural leisure, song and a number of amusing activities and leisure throughout the day. Jason Mackenzie, Dragon Boat Festival Race Director, stated: “Every year, the Abu Dhabi Dragon Boat Festival held on the Shangri-La Hotel and Traders Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri sees up to 2,000 participants. More than 20 worldwide groups and one hundred neighborhood teams have taken part within the race over the years, making it the most important dragon boat event within the location.” Team participation includes the deliver of a dragon boat and all important system as well as two 60-minute education periods with an the world over-acclaimed training teach.
