Today reach Tiger Hills, before the sunrise, because you are going to witness a sunrise like never before where the Himalayan ranges turn golden in the candescent rays of the sun. Don’t miss to make this moment a memory by clicking photographs. Then visit Ghoom Monastery. Ghoom is the higest station in the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway at an elevation of 7407 feet. Ghoom Monastery is situated at an elevation of 8000 feet. Attend the prayer ceremony at the monastery and explore the monastery, having an insight into Buddhist culture. Then way to Batasia Loop, which is a loop commissioned in 1919 to lower the gradient of Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. From Batasia Loops you can have a panoramic view of Darjeeling along with the breathtaking views of Eastern Himalayas. At the middle of the Batasia loops, there is a war memorial dedicated to Gorkha Soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for their motherland.
Mirik is a beautiful hill station in close proximity to Darjeeling. Today after having your breakfast, drive to Mirik and visit the serene Sumendu Lake, where you can boat and enjoy a pony ride as well. Then visit Devi Stan Temple, Bonkar Monastery and later spend some time in the orange orchards and tea-estate of Mirik. Pashupati arket is a famous market of Mirik which extends wide variety of goods to its tourists. Shop from the market and return to Darjeeling for overnight stay.
