Live history through a guided panoramic city tour of London. Get acquainted with some of London's iconic landmarks like the Tower Bridge and the River Thames. Continue your tour to Hyde Park, Big Ben, Westminster Palace, Westminster Abbey, St. Paul's Cathedral, London Eye, Tower of London, the famous Piccadilly Circus, Nelson's Column at Trafalgar Square, followed by the majesty of Buckingham Palace - which is the Queen's official residence. Enjoy the Changing of the Guards (on days when this takes place). Next, get thrilled as you ride the London Eye, the world's fourth tallest ferris wheel and during the gradual 30-minute flight enjoy views of London. Today, proceed on to Folkstone to cross the English Channel through the Eurotunnel or drive to Dover to take the ferry and arrive in Calais. Grevin, a legendary site of entertainment since 1882, was created by Alfred Grevin, to produce and showcase life size wax models of celebrities. At the end of the 19th Century, Arthur Meyer, founder of the famous daily newspaper 'Le Gaulois', conceived the notion of showing his readers the people in the headlines of his paper, but in 3-D. At a time when the press did not use photographs, he came up with the idea of creating a site where the public could see people in the news. To implement this original plan, he called on Alfred Grevin, who was a cartoonist, designer and famous sculptor. The Grevin opened its doors on June 5th, 1882. It was an immediate success. Today, proceed on to Brussels. On arrival, enjoy a walking orientation tour which takes you to the magnificent Gothic St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral. Then via Galeries Saint Hubert - the world's first shopping mall, opened in 1847, to the Grand Place, Europe's most beautiful square. This exquisite market square is the main tourist attraction of the city. Time permitting, shop here for world famous Belgian lace, chocolates and Belgian waffles dusted with caramelized sugar. Mmmm! Also enjoy a photo stop at the Manneken Pis - the cheeky statue of a boy, representing the 'irreverent spirit' of Brussels, which has drawn sightseers for centuries. Drive through Dutch countryside. If you come to Holland when tulips are in bloom (only from March 22nd to May 13th), visit the famous Keukenhof Tulip Gardens. Today, after breakfast, let the Windmills which still wield their magic enchant you. There's a photo stop at one. We now drive to Amsterdam. Clogs, Cheese and Holland are inseparable and a factory visit demonstrates this business. The canals beckon as you board a glass topped boat and glide past regal mansions, houseboats and bridges. A canal cruise in Amsterdam is a rewarding experience. Spend some leisure time at Dam Square with the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), the Royal Palace and the National Monument. Continue your scenic drive to Cologne, the metropolis on River Rhine, where on arrival you will visit the Cathedral - the first Gothic Church in the Rhineland with its characteristic spires. This morning, sit back and relax on an enjoyable drive through the Black Forest to arrive at Drubba - the alpine nest of the Cuckoo Clock situated in the unique Hollental (Hell's Valley), directly at the mouth of the Ravennaschult (Ravenna Glen). Witness a demonstration to explain the making of authentic cuckoo clocks in their original form, each piece carefully crafted for precision! The Cuckoo Clock is said to have originated between 1740 and 1750 and has remained more or less unchanged in its unique design. A visit here is a memorable experience. See the thundering Rhinefalls at Schaffhausen. Take a boat to the foot of the falls. After dinner, check-in to your hotel. Overnight in Switzerland. Today, proceed on to Lucerne witnessing picturesque mountains, lakes, cowbells, alpine villages and meadows, the poignant Lion Monument, the covered, wooden Kapellbrucke (Chapel Bridge) to the ornate Jesuit Church. You will have another encounter with the marvels of Swiss shopping. Later, your drive takes you to the Principality of Liechtenstein and a stop at Vaduz - the capital, famous for its postage stamps. Carry on your scenic drive to Innsbruck in Austria. Located on the Inn River, Innsbruck is one of Europe's most beautiful and lively cities. An international centre for winter sports, it has hosted the Winter Olympics twice! Take the Hungerburg funicular to Nordkette and enjoy the mountain top with the twinkling, shimmering city below. On reaching the upper station at 2256 m above sea level, enjoy a breathtaking view of the city of Innsbruck on one side and the unforgettable vista of untouched, pristine nature on the other. A visit here set between the mountain range and the town, promises to be an unforgettable experience. Enjoy a unique combination of relaxation, the wonder of nature, and modern architecture. Next, the orientation tour introduces you to its world famous sights. View the Golden Roof or 'Goldenes Dachl', an ornate Gothic balcony erected by the Emperor Maximilian I in the 15th century, decorated with gold painted copper shingles. Today, proceed to Munich and enjoy the orientation tour of Munich. The tour begins with a visit only from the outside and photo stop at the Palace of Nymphenburg, the former summer residence of the Bavarian elector princes and kings. The Palace is surrounded by beautiful park gardens and a few smaller palaces. The lawns and water features of the park are equally ornate as the magnificent Nymphenburg Palace. Further, our route invites you to discover sights such as the Pinakotheken art museum, the world famous Hofbrauhaus, the National Theater with the Royal Palace, Olympic Stadium, St. Peter's Church (Peterskirche), Cathedral of Our Blessed Lady (Frauenkirche), Marienplatz and the Viktualien market with its colorful outdoor stalls. Continue to Salzburg - an Austrian city on the German border, with views of the Eastern Alps. Music lovers know this city as the birthplace of one of the world's most beloved composers, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-91). Art lovers know it is the "Golden City of High Baroque"; historians as the "Florence of the North". It is also the setting for the film "The Sound of Music." The city is divided by the Salzach River, with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Altstadt (Old City) on its left bank, and 19th-century Neustadt (New City) on the right. Commence your day with a highlight guided walking tour helps you discover the best of Austria's Baroque architecture. Our first stop is the Splendid Mirabell Gardens, followed by a walk to visit the Altstadt (old city) on the west bank of the Salzach River, where you will enjoy the labyrinth of pathways admiring the 17th century facades. Some of the highlights in the Altstadt - 'Mozart's Geburtshaus' the famous musician's birthplace which houses a collection of his belongings, the great Cathedral and several locations associated with "The Sound of Music'. Some leisure time in the old City for you to browse around and locate some special local souvenirs. Later drive to Vienna, Austria's capital is famous for its cultural events, imperial sights, coffee houses, cosy wine taverns and the very special Viennese charm. Visit the popular Vienna Prater - an amusement park. Here, the not to be missed is Vienna's popular time-honoured landmark - the 15 gondola Giant Ferris wheel at 65 meters (included). Built to mark Emperor Franz Joseph's 50th jubilee, it was the world's tallest extant Ferris wheel from 1920 until 1985 and was deemed modern and groundbreaking.
