After breakfast in the morning transfer to airport to board your flight to Varanasi. Said to be the India’s most sacred city situated on the western bank of the holy river Ganga. After breakfast in the morning proceed for boat cruise at the river Ganges to observe the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later excursion to Sarnath, 10kms & East of Varanasi, is the place where Buddha chose to deliver his first sermon. The celebrated Mantra, 'Buddham Sharanam Gachhami', owes its origin to Sarnath. On the day before his death Buddha included Sarnath along with Lumbini, Bodh Gaya and Kushinagar as the four places he thought to be sacred to his followers. It makes Sarnath one of the most venerated Buddhist places. Besides Buddhism, Sarnath is also connected with Jainism. There are many Buddhist monuments and edifices in Sarnath. Some of the important Buddhist monuments at Sarnath are the Dhamekha stupa, the Chaukhandi stupa and monasteries and temples of different schools of Buddhism from Japan, China, Thailand, Burma and others. The Indian Buddhist society called Mahabodhi Society maintains a park around the Buddha temple. The Mahabodhi Temple within the park has a tooth relic of the Buddha. There is also a vast expanse of ancient ruins at Sarnath.
Morning have your breakfast and we will be going for some sightseeing at the bank of Ganges. After that we will drive to Varanasi airport for the Udaipur flight. After breakfast drive to Jodhpur & transfer to hotel. In the afternoon city sightseeing tour of Jodhpur, stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan, was founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Jaipur. We will reach at the late afternoon. Reach and check into the hotel and take some rest. In evening visit Chokhi Dhani the village fun center. Day 09: Jaipur – Fatehpur Sikri – Agra (230 Kms drive by Road)
Today right after the breakfast we will drive towards Agra. But enroute we will visit Fatehpur Sikri. Perfectly preserved red sandstone “ghost town” which was the estranged capital of Mughal emperor Akbar built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed. Continue drive to Agra. Upon arrival we will drive to Hotel and after sometime we will drive for sightseeing of Agra.
Day 10: Agra – Delhi Airport by Drive – Srinagar (By Flight)
Today after the breakfast we will drive to New Delhi Airport for the flight to Srinagar. Arrive Srinagar, meet assist at the airport and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset. Night stay at Houseboat.
After breakfast proceed for half day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Adobe of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. Also get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. Night stay at Houseboat.
After healthy breakfast in the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to Gulmarg reach there and check in at the hotel, afternoon full day tour of Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resort in the valley. It is also popular for its golf course (in summer), the highest in the world and skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. In its architecture are included, symbols associated with other places of worship. This is an example of the spirit of tolerance and acceptance that the Sikh philosophy propounds. Today morning have your breakfast at leisure. We will have a round to the local market. We will also go to Faridkot Fort and Govind Garh Fort.
Faridkot Fort - came into being some 700 years back. As such, this fort of Amritsar claims a distinct mention in the heritage of Punjab. Govind Garh Fort - Locally known as the 'Bhangian Da Quila', the fort was constructed in the year 1760.Historical evidences prove that the fort belonged to Gujjar Singh Bhangi during the early nineteenth century, which gave it the earlier mentioned name. Afternoon visit Jallianwala Bagh- Martyrs’ Memorial built in the shape of eternal flame of liberty is situated on the outskirts of Golden Temple. Here about 1500 and 2000 persons who were attending a peaceful meeting during the freedom movement fell under the bullets of the British General Dyer on 13 April 1919 and the city of Amritsar. Evening visit Wagah Border to watch Border Retreat Ceremony the pageant of the beating of the retreat and the change of guard within handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces here makes the most charming of the spectacles as a daily evening drill.
