Day wise Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Mumbai

as you arrive in Mumbai Airport, you will be transferred to the hotel by our representative for an overnight stay.





Day 02: Mumbai

Afterhaving your breakfast, visit Elephanta Caves (An hours boat ride across Mumbai Harbour. will take you to these beautifully carved Elephanta Caves that date back to the 8th century.) Later, take a city tour , visiting 'Gateway of India', the 'Towers of Silence', 'Marine Drive', the 'Colaba Causeway' ( the commercial heart of the city) and the Dhobi Ghat,( the unique and colourful outdoor 'laundry'.) Also visit the Malabar Hil, 'Hanging Gardens' and the Kamla Nehru Park. Later you go to Mani Bhawan, (a museum dedicated to the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi) Also shop at Crawford Market. Staying overnight at the hotel.



Day 03: Mumbai - Aurangabad

On day 3, go to Aurangabad by train or flight. On arrival, you will be picked up from Railway station/ Airport and get assisted transfer to the hotel. Take a city tour in the afternoon, visiting Bibi-Ka-Muqbara, Aurangabad Caves and Daulatabd Fort. Overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 04: Aurangabad - Excursion To Ellora Caves

Today is booked for a morning visit Ellora Caves which is 30 kms from Aurangabad. These rock cut cave temples of Ellora (Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainis,)came up in 10th and 11th century. out of the 34 caves, the most amazing is Kailasa temple with intricate architecture which took 100 years to get built.After the visit, drive back to the hotel. Evenings are free for leisure. An Overnight stay at the hotel.(Tuesdays closed)



Day 05: Aurangabad - Jalgaon - Bhopal

Now drive to Ajanta Caves , around 30 caves which date back to 2nd century BC and 7th century AD(100 kms, 2 hours, towards northeast of Aurangabad in the Waghora valley). These Buddhist caves, are a combination of three forms of Art - architecture sculpture and painting. After this, you wil get transferred to Jalgaon Railway Station for catching a train to Bhopal. On reaching, get transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay. (Ajanta caves are closed on Mondays)



Day 06: Bhopal - Agra

Embark on a sightseeing tour of Saanchi Stupa which has a group of stupas, monasteries, temples and pillars dating from 3rd century BC to 12th century AD.) In the afternoon catch train for Agra.. Get transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay.



Day 07: Agra - Varanasi

Book your day 7, for a sightseeing tour wherein you will be visiting the Taj Mahal,one of the 7 wonders of the world. After lunch, take a tour of the Agra Fort. In the evening, you will be transferred to the Railway station for boarding an overnight Train to Varanasi. (Taj Mahal is closed onFridays).



Day 08: In Varanasi

On arrival in Varanasi in the morning, you will get an assistedtransfer to hotel. On the way, you will be visiting Sarnath (the place where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon). After some rest, take a city tour in the afternoon visiting various temples such as The Vishwanath Temple, (built by the Birlas). The Bharat Mata Temple which does not has idols, but a huge relief map in marble of India, The Tulsi Manas Temple, (built in 1964), In the evening view "Aarti" ceremony on the Ghats. O/N.



Day 09: Varanasi - Bodhgaya (242 Kms - 07 hrs)

In the morning, take a Boat cruise at the river Ganges observing the way of life of pilgrims by the Ghats. Later drive off to Bodhgaya. On arrival, check - in at hotel. It is the most sacred place for Buddhists as it has a Peepul tree under which Gautama, the Buddha attained enlightenment around 2500 years back. An overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 10: In Bodhgaya

Once done with the breakfast, start sightseeing , visiting Mahabodhi Temple (showing the different stages of Buddha's journey towards enlightenment, showing different aspects of his life), Bodhgaya Archaeological Museum (consists of a small collection of Buddhist sculpture from the 1st century B.C, to the 11th century A.D) and Jagannath Temple. Staying overnight at the hotel.



Day 11: Bodhgaya - Patna (109 Kms - 4.5 hrs)

Once you have your breakfast, you are driven to Patna. On the way, you can visit Gridhakuta Hill and Bimbisara Jail in Rajgir. Now move forward to Nalnada (14 kms from Rajgir). It was one of the oldest Universities in the world and International Centre for Buddhist studies. Arrive in Patna. After lunch, take atour of the city visiting Har Mandir Sahib (Patna Sahib the place where the 10th Guru of the Sikhs Guru Gobind Singh was born in 1666); Golghar (a large dome-like structure from where one can have bird seye view of the Ganga and the city surroundings); Patna Museum -(vastcollection of Mauryan and Buddhist sculptures, terracotta and other items . O/N.



Day 12: Patna - Kushinagar (253 Kms - 07 hrs)

Start your drive to Kushinagar, once you arrive,. check - in at hotel. Later, go to the Rambhar Stupa - (Lord Buddha's cremation ground),Mahaparinirvana temple - (has a lying down figure of Lord Buddha). An overnight stay at the hotel.



Day 13: Kushinagar - Saravasti (Balrampur) - (216 Kms - 05 hrs)

On day 13, drive off to Balrampur and on reaching there,check - in at the hotel and take some rest. In the afternoon, visit Sahet-Mahet. Staying for the night at the hotel.



Day 14: Saravasti - Lumbini (197 Kms - 4.5 hrs)

Drive off to Lumbini where on arrival, you check - in at the hotel. It is the birth place of Buddha) Spend the day in activities of your own interest. Staying overnight at the hotel.



Day 15: Lumbini - Kathmandu (By flight)

Today halfday is booked for sightseeing of Lumbini. Later you are Transferred to the airport in order to catch a flight for Kathmandu. Get assisted transfer to the hotel on arrivall for an overnight stay.



Day 16: In Kathmandu

Once you are done with your breakfast, you can start the tour of the city where you visit Pashupatinath Temple (the most sacred of the Hindu temples in Nepal dedicated to lord Shiva, built in 1696) Later embark on the sightseeing tour of the Patan, (known as "Town with a Thousand Golden Roofs) which is a city of architecture and fine arts. . Also visit Tibetan Handicraft center at Jawalakhel to watch carpet weaving. After having lunch, embark on a sightseeing tour of Swayambhunath - the oldest Buddhist shrine. A short drive will take you to Boudhanath ( the worlds largest stupa; a sight of great reneration to the Buddhist). Proceed towards Kathmandu Durbar Square (the temple of the Living Goddess and the old Royal Palace. Lasltly, pay a visit Kasthamandup ( a temple built from a single tree from which the Kathmandu derives its name). Staying overnight at the hotel.



Day 17: Kathmandu - Out

Today get transfer to the airport for catching a flight for onward destination.
