Meet our representative upon arrival at Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport. Transfer to your hotel in the Candelabra district. Take some rest or head out to explore the city on your own. Stay overnight in De La Opera Hotel in a ’Standard’ room.

Explore Colombia/´s capital city, known for its authentic, colonial atmosphere, during a guided sightseeing tour. Walk through its cobblestone streets, discover colorful, restored colonial mansions, carved wooden balconies and churches built in the Baroque style.

Head for Cerro de Mon serrate, a 3152m peak flanking the city/´s east. From there, you can enjoy a stunning view over the city. On the top of the peak is a white church (accessible by cable car or by funicular railway), a Mecca for local pilgrims.

Your next destination is the Gold Museum, which displays one of the most dazzling collections of gold items in South America. It brings together around 34,000 pieces of gold artifacts from different civilizations that lived in the region, like the Quimbayas, Taironas, Miscasts and the Tolimas. The museum is home to the world/´s largest pre-Colombian collection of its kind.

Visit the Botero Museum, dedicated to the famous Colombian artist Fernando Botero. The Museum contains both his works (around a hundred drawings, paintings and sculptures) as well as his private collection with no less than 85 masterpieces of well known artists, such as Dali, Renoir, Chagall, Picasso and Miro.

Take a walk in Bolivar Square (la Plaza Bolivar), which is surrounded by some of Bogota’s grandest buildings, including the Town Hall, the Palace of Justice, Primatial Cathedral and the Congress Building.

Please note that the order of visits may vary depending on the day of your travel. The Gold Museum is closed on Mondays while the Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
