You will be met at the International Airport of Kilimanjaro upon your arrival at 09:05 am.

After your safari briefing, you will drive towards Lake Manyara National Park through Arusha town. You will have a stop in Arusha town for currency exchange and a quick freshening up.

Later on, with picnic lunch, you will continue with your trip to Lake Manyara National Park for your half day game drive in the park.

Large flocks of pink flamingos along the lake are some of the highlights of this park. The national park is also home to the unique tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, which you/’ll have the chance to see lounging in the high tree branches. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and others.

Eventually you will arrive and stay overnight near the beautiful Lake Manyara, which Ernest Hemingway called the /“The loveliest lake in Africa./”

Early morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park. This is an opportunity to see the predators coming back from hunting and also a chance to see early morning active animals.

Later on you will return to your lodge for a leisurely breakfast. You may go back to continue with the game drive until afternoon when you return to your lodge for hot lunch.

After lunch and depending on your energy, you may go for hiking around the famous Mto wa Mbu village and cultural tours around the village. Alternatively, you can visit the Ganeko hills near Karatu Village and its related areas.

Later on you will retire for the night following dinner.

After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park driving some 4 hours, but with plenty to see on the way!

After stopping for a picnic lunch on a kopje (rock outcropping) it will be time to head further into the park begin your game drive. You pass through green savannah where elephants and giraffes roam, through a stretch of territory which is rarely visited by travelers, to reach central Serengeti.

Depending on the time of year and the migration of the herds, you can expect to see wildebeest, lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, antelopes and many bird species.

The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word, /“Siringet/” referring to an endless plain. As you traverse the park you will see grazing zebras, antelopes and giraffes and sometimes some buffalos hiding in the bush. The South Serengeti ecosystem belongs partly to the Serengeti National park and partly to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

After the game drive, you will head back to your luxury lodge at Serengeti Sopa. where you arrive in time for your dinner with assorted drinks

After breakfast, it/’ll be time to begin saying goodbye to Africa, as you drive from the crater to Kilimanjaro International Airport via Arusha town to catch your flight.
