Leave Arusha with lunch boxes at 8:30 am for Tarangire National Park. This park is located 120 km away from the city. See some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa during a game drive along the Tarangire River. Encounter many other species of animals like wildebeests, lions, buffaloes zebras and numerous species of birds. Drive to Fanaka Campsite and Lodge, have dinner and stay overnight in the campsite.

Head for the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch). The crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. This is also one of the few places where rare black rhinos can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals manage to move in and out of the crater’s 2000ft high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes and a variety of birds. With a bit of luck, you might even spot all the Big Fives during a single game drive.
