Prep up for a wild ride with your mates and loved ones. This heart-thumping trekking experience begins with a drive to the scenic Jagatsukh.9.00 am: Your journey on the road begins with a drive to Jagatsukh, a place that is adorned with culture and beauty with old temples and picturesque locations. The drive approximately lasts 30 minutes. It is from this divine abode that your trek begins. Your fellow trekkers would include cooks and horsemen. The baggages are unloaded from the cars to be carried by the horses. The first day is a short trek to Saruto Thach (2370m) 1:00 pm: Reach the coveted Saruto Thach (2400m high), rest your legs and take in the journey so far. Have your lunch and settle down in the comfort of your tents.You can spend the rest of the day, doing photo walks and exploring your new surroundings. Go for evening strolls or just wander around with your friends and family and be awed with promising views of the snow capped mountains and tall trees that breathe out a deluge of fresh air! Overnight at the campsite.

8:00 am: Begin your day with a fulfilling breakfast to prep you up for the 5- 7 hours of uphill walk that lies ahead. After breakfast, say goodbye to your Saruto Thach camp and leave for the new places that await your presence. Life is an uphill climb and so will you learn the same as you set on the trail to Darpa that rests at 3000 mts. – where you’d camp in its enchanting woods.9:00 am: Enroute you’d come across the summer settlements of the Gujars (nomads). Witness the lifestyle of these nomads who settle in these high Himalayan pastures with their animals set loose to graze these pastures. Carry on the steep climb as you pass through another nomadic settlement - Jumari Thach.5:00 pm: Reach your new campsite at Darpa. Settle down in your tents and relax your muscles. Get along with your hosts as they provide you instructions for the next day of your journey. Rejuvenate your senses over tea and explore your surroundings or lay quiet and calm, as you soak in the tranquility at this new abode. Dinner and Overnight stay in tents at the campsite.

We start our day with an uphill and leave the tree line below. We try to get to the top of the ridge as much as possible as it gives us great views of this area. Most of it is basically going up hill. We can see Bara bangal range and Manali town from our trail. We finally reach one of the camping places which is known as Rouli Khouli though we don’t camp here. It is huge meadow for camping and usually full of horses from local villages of Manali who are left here to graze all summer. From here we start heading down to the river and it is pretty steep downhill at many places. We reach the river where we cross it over a rock bridge (naturally rocks has piled on the river and has built a bridge) After crossing the bridge we walk downstream few hundred meter and reach our beautiful camping place by the small fresh water stream. It is a beautiful camping surrounded with many colorful flowers and when you look upstream, you can see Deo Tibba Mountain. There is an option of going further to next base camp. In that case we don’t cross the river and just stick to the true left bank of the river. A little uphill and then down hill takes us to big wide grassland in the shadow of Deo Tibba Mountain. We can camp here too though it can be little colder than camping down stream. Taken Time: 5-7 hours O/N Camp

9:00 am: After the usual fulfilling breakfast, move on with your day with a gradual uphill climb. The walk will bring you high up on the ridge and grace you with sensational views of the Himalayas. Up ahead, you’ll face the Hanuman Tibba peak and if you decide to look back on the path left behind, Deo Tibba would be there – enchanting and eternally pristine. Enroute you’d be greeted with some beautiful rocks and would have the opportunity flaunt your rock climbing skills amidst your counterparts. You could also decide otherwise and enjoy the scenic viewpoint of the rocky place and the surrounding Himalayas afar.4:00 am: Later, after few crazy moments of fun, find your new neighborhood as you head down to Jobri Nallah and settle down in your tents. Enjoy the evenings musing over a cup of hot tea or have those magical maggi moments in this magical place with your loved ones or groupies.8:30 pm: It’s dinner time. So stop all that you’re doing and grab your meal – eat healthy and stay fit. We need to build up some energy for the day ahead. After dinner, find warmth with the joys of a campfire and later settle down in your tents for a goodnight’s sleep.Overnight stay in the tents Jobri camp site.

9:00 am: From Jobri (3078m), set on an easy ascent to Balu ka Ghera (3627m). Leave behind the tree line as you tread onto stones and boulders. At the final heights of your ascent witness the majestic and snow-clad Dhauladhar ranges.4:00 pm: Reach your new campsite Balu ka Ghera which is a plain sand ground just below the Hampta Pass. Balu Ka Gera translates to the bed of sand, this sand is brought down by Rani river.Be served with hot tea at Balu Ka Ghera and spend your time exploring the new surroundings before you leave for Siagoru the next day. Dinner and overnight stay in the tents at Balu ka Ghera camp site.

9:00 am: After your daily dose of early sunshine refreshment, leave for the trek to Shea Goru camping site via the Hamta Pass. A moderate and steep ascent for most of the trek, the ascent gets tough after you cross the Hampta Jot or the Hampta Pass. The track is a steep descend for 1-1½ hours. Depending on the snow conditions and weather, the descent may get difficult topped with scenic views of the Himalayas.The trail now begins to ascend towards Hamta Pass (4297m) and one can have close views of Deo Tibba and Indrasan peaks. After that, it is a descent all the way right to the campsite at Shea Goru.6:00 pm: The walk to Shea Goru at 12900 ft is the most spectacular aspect of this trek with entrancing views of the neighboring beauties and the cool atmosphere. The Shea Goru is the coldest camp site of the Hampta Pass Trek because it lies adjacent to a glacier snout. Set up camp at Shea Goru and flex those muscles to explore this newfound surrounding.

Easy with some tricky sections. This day trek descends through the Hampta valley with easy descent, as you move closer to the road, the descent gets a little tricky. This is hard to cross during the monsoons. The river has to be forded at one point from where one can see the valleys of Lahaul and Spiti. Drive to Keylong, En route visit Keylong situated on the Manali-Leh Road and visit some of the famous Buddhist monasteries like as Gondla fort, Tayul, Khardong, Gemur and Sha-Shur. On arrival at Jispa, check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure to explore the Jispa village. Overnight stay at a hotel/ Camp

Breakfast in the hotel. Check out and drive to Sarchu. Pass through the Darcha village and Lamayuru via Zanskar valley. Verify your passports and other documents at the check post near the village, in case if you are a foreign national. Cross the Barlacha Pass (4880m) After crossing the pass drop down to the vast Sarchu plains at an altitude of 4200 Mts. (80 KMS/4 HRS) Overnight in deluxe tents.
