This region is rich in agricultural land and the Indus flows along your drive. Surprised? There are entire worlds for you to discover at the famous monasteries of Alchi – not just the history, but also the views from each of these reveal new layers of Ladakhi culture and landscapes to you. The Pangong Tso is like a shining jewel set amidst the barren landscape and no description does justice to the experience of seeing it with your own eyes as it unveils itself through the mountains little by little.
