Manyuchi Dam

Built on Mwenezi River, Manyuchi Dam has always been one of the most important picnic spots for locales as well as tourists. Its appeal however has decreased slightly among the locals as it has become somewhat difficult to reach the dam as the roads are washed away. However, tourists still are regular here and come by hiring a four wheel drive. Apart from enjoying exquisite views of sunset over Lake Manyuchi, tourists also indulge in fishing in the lake. The Dam rises to a height of 25 m and is a major source for irrigation and power generation.
