Cu Chi tunnels: Ho Chi Minh city

Situated in the Cu Chi district of Ho Chi Minh city, Cu Chi tunnels are one of the very few surviving structures reminiscent of the infamous Vietnam war. It is believed that it is just a small section of a much larger network of tunnels spread all across Vietnam. They were used by Viet Cong as a hiding place and a base for launching offensives against American troops. It has been converted into a war memorial and attracts a large number of tourists. Due to bombing during the war, some sections of the tunnel got damaged and has thus been closed to the tourists. Only safer section is allowed to be used as a tourist destination. The tunnel has been dimly lit for better viewing, some sections enlarged to house more people at a time and booby traps clearly marked. On grounds above the tunnels, there are caged monkeys, shopping spots and a shooting range as attractions.

I have got in touch with Truly India is really impressed by the speed of their response, their pro-activeness. Their quotation is also pretty reasonable. I am sending you this as a compliment message...
