Situated on the coast of County Antrin in Northern Ireland, Giant's Causeway is one unbelievable wonder of nature. From a distance it seems that it is some man made monument that lay in ruins. Only after a close inspection will you know the truth. The causeway was created some 60 million years ago due to volcanic activity and cooling of molten basaltic lava that poured out with it. The crystals have since broken by weathering due to ice age and Atlantic tides. Each column is upto 2 meter high stacked with thick basalt tablets of around 15 inches fused together. A must visit for people who like absolute awe inspiring stuff.
