Great Patriotic War Museum: Kiev

Situated in the southern side of Kiev city, this museum is one of the largest museums in Ukraine. Built to commemorate the Great Patriotic War, the museum has put on display more than 300,000 items related to the world war 2. However, the main attraction of the museum is the 62 meter tall motherland statue that inspires awe from quite a distance as well. The expectation of something special is raised at the entrance itself where decommissioned tanks used during the great war are put on display. You can visit the museum on all days except on Mondays.
