We have undertaken our tour thru holiday bazar-hyderabad. The arrangements were good, no doubt but the drivers were not helpful. Not help-ful in the sense, they were mostly interested to complete the daily tour as early as possible and they were unnecessarily hurrying up.They were not guiding us properly. One instance I sight is,we the whole group consisting of 13 people mostly senior citizens aged upto 70 went to have a ride the Rope way in Darjeeling.
There was a physically challenged child with us .The driver took us near the rope way and asked us to climb steep steps to have the ride.We asked him whether there is any other way to reach without climbing the steps as already mentioned old people are there in the group. He said no other alternative. So the child and another person left behind and all the other members climbed the steep steps. And to our surprise there were cars on the top of the hill. After coming back from the ride we asked the driver why he has not told us regarding the other way of reaching the top.He said we have to take special permission to go by car.
We would have taken permission from the authorities had the driver told us. The child has missed the rope way which is generally interested to children only.
Another instance while coming back from Gangtok and on our way to Darjeeling we asked the driver to take us to the Nepal border for a short visit, because it is on the way.He made some lame excuses and wantedly avoided going there. The drivers were mostly interested in hurrying up the tour and go away to catch another tourist.
My suggestion is kindly instruct the drivers to show the tourists maximum points as one may not pay a visit again to this place. And let them be a guide and suggest the tourist ways and means to cover maximum points.
