Taiwan is a country with loads of splendid trekking routes. It is also home to the highest mountain peak in East Asia named Yushan (Jade Mountain), which rises to a height of 3,952 meters above sea level. Though it is the prize destination for trekkers in Taiwan, there are many more peaks that hover around that 3000m mark. Most of these peaks are situated in the many national parks around, which also offer a great wildlife expedition opportunity.
