In domestic market, the budget airlines has control of over 60% and keeping this is consideration, Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara said that the demand of economy seats are increasing and due to this reason we have increased its numbers.
Factors like timely service, low price, schedule integrity and on-time performance has increased the demand of budget airlines in India. Thus, it will be a challenge to meet the requirements of premium seats due to the longest domestic flights that are over three hours. It is noted that some business class tickets are five time costlier than the economy tickets, thus, customers are preferring the economy class in flights.
