1. Marginal Increase for Tourism Sector Allocation in Budget 2016-17
enquire now
The Finance Minister, Mr. Arun Jaitly presented the Union Budget of 2016-17 today in the parliament in which the tourism sector is almost neglected in terms of allocation in the budget. There are no such major steps taken to grow the tourism and the hospitality sector and the allocation of budget to this sector increased only by 17 cr. from last year’s 1483 Cr. The only relief is the lowering or the discount in the service tax for this industry and the hotels of small budgets are going to be included in the infrastructure list which is harmonised. The only silver lining for this sector is that there will be development of the airports which are not in use and the roadways.
