This aggressive campaign will increase the number of visitors in the state from 1.5 million to 3.0 million by 2020. Apart from foreign tourists, tourism department of Rajasthan is also expecting to increase domestic tourists from 33 million to 50 million annually.
Knowing the importance of tourism in economic growth of state, Chief Minister, Vasundhara Raje said that tourism is world’s biggest industry where Rajasthan is rich, as it poised to make optimum use of it. Tourism directly or indirectly provides jobs in the states and improves economic status. As per CM, the plan of boosting tourism in the state is nested with the core models of government like, job creation and social justice.
The new logo is launched for this campaign along with new website, outdoor spots, and advertisements in TV and print media. This will definitely attract travelers all through the year in the state. Various events like Desert Festival, Kumbalgarh Festival, and Pushkar Fair in the state will further promote tourism.
