On December 31, 2015, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Institutional Area, Plot No A-33, Sector -62, Noida to lay foundation stone of 14 lanes Delhi-Dasna-Meerut Expressway and project up gradation of Dasna-Hapur section of NH-24. The visit is scheduled to be at 12 Noon. As per Gadkari, this entire project is expected to be causing INR 7566 crore.
Along with Prime Minister, various other ministers like Ram Naik, Governor, Uttar Pradesh, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport & Highways, General V K Singh, MoS Statistics & Programme Implementation (I/C), Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, P Radhakrishnan, MoS Road Transport and Shipping, Dr. Mahesh Sharma and MoS, Culture and Tourism (I/C) and Civil Aviation will also be participating in this program.
As per the route of this expressway is concerned, it will start from Nizammudin Bridge Delhi and will continue on NH24 up to Dasna. After Dasna, a separate alignment will be laid up to Meerut, which will join inner ring road / Meerut bypass near Railway, crossing at Meerut. This dream project is expected to be completed in high speed due to the heavy congestion of traffic on existing NH58 Delhi Meerut highway.
