Ministry Of Tourism Put Efforts To Have Travel Mart For Indian Travel And Tourism

Ministry of Tourism in India is exploring the possibility of a Travel Mart for India, as other international Travel Marts are present. For this Government of India has also started exploring the possibility of it by discussing the opportunity with important heads of travel trade and hospitality associations. The meeting between Secretary Tourism and these head officials was conducted in Delhi last week and specific road map was prepared for the Travel Mart for Indian travel and tourism. As per the source, Government has welcomed the views and proposals from these associations regarding the conduct of travel mart by the Ministry and has decided to hold the maiden Travel Mart for next year.

The Ministry of Tourism in India is also planning to have detailed discussion on the issue with trade associations early in April 2016. This is not the first time that proposal for Travel Mart for India is in discussion, but the topic was in consideration for more than few years. This time Ministry of Tourism is looking serious, they are expecting to put their efforts into results.
